Leave Only Footprints

“Take only pictures, leave only footprints.”  Or so the mantra goes.  I know I have taken from my travels much more than two-dimensional pictures, and I hope that I have left a bit more of myself than mere footprints.  Nonetheless, these pages attempt to express through photographic images what it felt like to submerge myself–albeit, for only a fleeting moment–in cultures and communities different from my own.

I am a learner, a dancer, a photographer, an academic, a romantic, a perfectionist, and a free spirit. But mostly, I am an explorer.

My academic career and particularly my time at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts has allowed me to investigate the field of International Relations and International Security, focusing on intra-state conflict, transitional justice, and social movements.

My artistic career has allowed me to adventure into the worlds of divergent identities, social remedies, and collective action.

This blog tells the real stories that I have unearthed during my travels. They are stories that link my two lives in a more poignant fashion than I could have imagined.
